Golden Knights Open Inaugural Season with a 2–1 Weekend

The Golden Knights opened their inaugural season with a 2–1 record across three tackle-football games.

The 12U Golden Knights delivered a strong opening performance, defeating the Matadors 20–8. The 8U team also started its season in impressive fashion, earning a 12–0 shutout victory over the Badgers.

The 10U Golden Knights battled the Unicorns in a defensive struggle that remained scoreless offensively. The game’s only points came when a fumble went out of the back of the Golden Knights’ end zone for a safety, resulting in a narrow 2–0 loss.

“I’m pleased that we finished our opening weekend 2–1,” Golden Knights President Jericho Harris said. “Even our 10U game was a hard-fought battle. We didn’t allow any offensive points, but we ultimately shot ourselves in the foot with a fumble that went out of the back of the end zone for a safety. Overall, it was a very encouraging start to our program, and we’re excited to get our 6U Flag team kicked off this week.”
